There is good news for the data warehouse builder in SQL Server 2012. In this session, we will take a look at SQL 2012 DW features, describe how they relate to older functionality, and what this new stuff can do for you. The session will cover both column stores and aggregation functionality in SQL Server 2012. We will look at some promising performance numbers, but also have a look at the dark side: the limitation you currently have to live with.
The session expects you to have some basic knowledge about data warehouse architecture, SQL Server B-tree indexes and data modeling.
